MUSEUM ATTACK PART 2: Medical freedom activist goes to pre-trial in self defense case
Requesting support at Concord District Court Wednesday, October 19
The following is a brief update in the case against medical freedom advocate Kevin Mackie on account of his actions of self defense and defense of others last July. The below Substack article offers a detailed summary of Mackie’s actions of self defense in response to an attack on his free speech; warnings of certain harm from experimental gene therapy products. Mackie and two other protestors were assaulted and battered in the altercation.
Today’s update is to urge all interested followers of Mackie’s work, supporters of freedom of speech, medical freedom advocates, and all others who appreciate Mackie’s courageous and selfless acts, to join his community of supporters in prayer and action. Sharing this and the previous story would be a great start.
Mackie’s defense team has provided the following message.
“Kevin Mackie's Pretrial Conference for physically defending protesters outside of the Acton Discovery Museum's July vaccine clinic from an attacker will be held at Concord District Court (305 Walden St, Concord, MA) this coming Wednesday, 10/19/22 at 9 AM. This is a public hearing, so all are welcome in the courtroom.”
Footage of the museum attack can be found on the YouTube channel Penney News. Another piece written shortly after the attack in We The Freethinkers is also worth a read. Here are some photos from the above article.
*If you would like to review Mackie and Smith’s complaints please contact me in the comments. I have both documents on file but am unable to share PDFs in this format.
With election season wrapping up in a matter of weeks, political tensions and divisiveness continue to boil. This author cautions all activists and freedom lovers to be extra vigilant and make safe and sound decisions. It is imperative all activists and educators consider conducting activism in groups (no less than 2), as seen in the case of Kevin Mackie. Key footage of the attacker’s outburst would not be available if not for the recording of a fellow medical freedom advocate.
Saturday, October 15, 2022 a reporter for the Boston Herald featured a synopsis and photographs of political tensions at Boston’s "Men’s March” against abortion. Grace Zokovitch, reporting for the Herald recounts:
“Around 2:30 p.m., a large crowd of people chanting “antifascista” circled in from the Boston Common, which more than doubled the pro-abortion rights crowd.”
There is also a photograph showing a masked counter protestor mere inches away from a pro-life activist as he smiles in defiant shock. No physical altercation occurred and no arrests were made. In reading about today’s most recent exercise in free speech, I am reminded of the intense passions and unpredictable nature of strongly opposing ideological views. It is important also to reflect on how violence can often be only inches or seconds away, offering little, if any, time to prepare.
Although no assault and battery took place at the anti-abortion march, two protestors outside a “Squad” event in Somerville were recently brutally jumped and injured by four attackers. Please see the Substack post I have linked below from Luci Bab for more details.
I have also linked commentary from Turtle Boy following the attack here: Shawn Nelson, Boston medical freedom advocate, brutally attacked
Although I will refrain from getting into details about the assault on Shawn Nelson and his friend protesting outside an event in Somerville last month, it is important to note that the actions of Congressional candidate Donnie Palmer to deescalate the beating of the protestors paralleled the courage and quick thinking of Kevin Mackie on July 8, 2022.
Donnie Palmer, Congressional candidate for MA district 4, opponent of Congresswoman Ayanna Pressley comes to the aid of attacked protestors outside Pressley’s event.
Looking forward, Mackie and counsel are prepared to present a strong case of self defense and defense of others in coming court proceedings.
Knowing Kevin Mackie well, I attest that he continues to practice activism with a considerate, respectful, and calm spirit of genuine care; he hopes to inform parents and families of the risks of dangerous medical experiments that continue to cause severe harm and death. In the linked video Mackie and friends give informative handouts and have cordial discussions with numerous event attendees.
The below is a screenshot of a sign Mackie and friends were holding at a recent informational outreach effort at the Big E. I am not surprised to see Mackie, an amiable and easy-going personality, endorsing this message.
In closing, I once again thank Kevin Mackie for the sacrifices he has made in making the decision to defend his fellow medical freedom advocates in the Discovery Museum attack last July.
Thoughts and prayers are appreciated. If you would like to support Kevin in person I will repeat the details:
